- Identify what’s triggering you– If you figure out what’s causing you to react, it will be easier to understand your feelings.
- Take a breather – When you’re triggered, you lose your focus. Try stepping away for a moment and letting the ego calm down.
- Practice acceptance– As frustrating as triggers may be, it helps to remember that it is our body’s way of pointing us toward healing. We must accept the things we cannot change.
Knowing yourself is the best way to handle any stress or triggers. Don’t be afraid to analyze yourself and get to know your thoughts. It will benefit you in the long run.
